What you'll be doing

  • Responsible for defining, implementing and continuously evolving the Group-wide AI Governance framework, including policies, standards, processes, controls and accountability models
  • Coordinate Data & AI Governance activities across Group functions and Market Units, ensuring consistent adoption of governance standards while balancing local business needs
  • Coach business, technology and governance stakeholders on the responsible, compliant and value-driven adoption of AI
  • Define governance requirements, risk-based controls and operating models for AI use cases, AI platforms, Generative AI and Agentic AI solutions
  • Develop directives, standards, frameworks, implementation guidance and best practices for AI Governance in alignment with Data Governance and Data Quality Management, Risk, Legal & Compliance functions
  • Maintain Data & AI governance artefacts, inventories, maturity assessments, KPIs and transparency reporting for management and governance bodies
  • Support the operationalisation of the Group Data & AI Strategy by translating strategic objectives into actionable governance capabilities, operating models and implementation roadmaps
  • Support compliance with relevant regulatory and ethical requirements, including the EU AI Act, data protection requirements and internal risk management frameworks
  • Drive the continuous improvement of Data & AI Governance maturity across the Group and foster knowledge sharing through communities of practice and governance forums

What you'll bring to the role

  • University degree (Bachelor's or Master's) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Engineering, Business Informatics, Law, Risk Management or a related field
  • 7+ years of professional experience in advisory roles around AI (Governance), Data (Governance), Technology (Governance), Risk Management, Compliance or related domains
  • Proven experience working in complex international organisations with diverse stakeholder groups and a good understanding of the insurance industry
  • Demonstrated experience in AI, advanced analytics, data-driven transformation initiatives or emerging technology programmes
  • Strong understanding of Data & AI Governance, Responsible AI principles, AI lifecycle management and AI risk management
  • Knowledge of current AI-related regulatory requirements and industry best practices
  • Fluent English and German (written and spoken)
